Vacuum handling applications are the ideal technology for internal transportation. The term ‘internal transport’ is used to describe the movement of goods and/or semi-finished products between processing stations, which frequently occurs in the manufacturing industry. These transporting systems can be (fully) automated or hand operated. Vacuum technology offers a variety of highly efficient solutions for internal transportation systems.
Internal transportation system based on vacuum technology
Material handling commonly takes place with overhead cranes, excavators, portal cranes, forklifts, etc., where products are moved repeatedly from one processing station to another. In situations with internal transport where the movement of products is repetitive, a (fully) automated system can be an effective solution. Together with Aerolift, you can discuss and choose a solution that is most suitable and cost effective for your operations.
Efficient material handling for a range of industries
With many years’ experience in the industry, Aerolift has developed a wide range of vacuum lifters for more efficient material handling. The rapid speed of suction and releasing of vacuum technology, has significantly increased the speed of many production processes. With vacuum transport no time is lost during pick-up or delivery of a load. Moreover, there is no need for installing hoisting gear such as straps and chains. Because no person needs to approach the load, the risk of injury when attaching a load is significantly reduced. Vacuum lifters are ideal for automated transportation systems, especially as it is not necessary to closely approach the load. The examples below offer an impression of the many applications of vacuum transportation in material
Material handling: metals
Vacuum technology can be used for loading the cutting machines and releasing the end product. It can be used for semi-automated handling of aluminium products from or to stretching and bending machines. Vacuum technology is equally effective in the auto industry as part of a fully automated, robotised transportation system.
Material handling: concrete
Vacuum technology can be used for handling the moulds and for handling the finished product. Vacuum technology finds many uses in the concrete industry. Staircases, balconies and concrete elements are transported to the construction location and finished on site by means of vacuum. Piping can be transported to those places where connections are being drilled and/or sleeves and wedges are milled. Wells are transported to the places where connections are being constructed or surface profiles are being poured. There are many more examples.
